Know all men by these presence, That I John Edmunds of Accomack County, Virginia, Considering freedom from a state of slavery the natural and proper right of the black people as well as the white people in society have thought fit to manumit and set free these heretofore held in slavery by me, and do by these presence manumit, sit free, and quit claim to them for ever in the manner and at the terms here after expressed, To wit, Esther Goliah, and Leah Goliah to go free Immediately, and Betty Goliah, and Sarah Goliah, and Daniel Goliah, and Agness Goliah to go, or be free as soon as they arive to the age of twenty one years.
