At a court held for Accomack county the 27th day of June 1808. This deed of manumission from Abel West Senr [Senior] to negro Adam which had been heretofore partly proven was now acknowledged by said Abel as his act and deed and ordered to be recorded[.] Teste Jno. Wise CAC
