Know all men by these presents that I Richard Bloxom of Accomack county, state of Virginia for and in consideration of the sum of forty five pounds current money of Virginia to me in hand paid or Secured to be paid by my negro man Edmund do hereby manumit quit claim and forever set free from any servitude to me or my heirs Executors or administrators the said negro man Edmund And I do hereby for myself my heirs Executors and administrators forever relinquish all right title or claim which I now have or hereafter might have to the said negro man Edmund.
