Know all men by these presents that I Ann Bagg in consideration of the faithful services of which have heretofore been rendered by my negro man Shadrack, have manumitted and set free and by these presents do manumit set free and for ever discharge from bondage my said negro man Shadrack. And I do hereby for myself my heirs executors and administrators relinquish all claim to the future services of my said negro man Shadrack and I do hereby agree to warrant and defend to the said Shadrack his right to freedom and from the claims of myself my Heirs Executors & Adm'n and free from the claim or claims of all and every person claiming the s'd negro from by through or under me. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen.
