I Daniel Drummond of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia being moved from divers good causes, as well as from the extraordinary merit and general good conduct and orderly behaviour of my negro man James Holden toward me, do by these presents hereby manumit and set free from me and my heirs and from every person or persons whatsoever my said negro man James Holden from the day of the date hereof.
