THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, to Thomas U. Dudley, Sergeant of the City of Richmond Greeting: WE COMMAND YOU, That the body of Rufus Hathcock detained by you, and under your custody, as it is said, together with the day and cause of his being taken and detained, by whatsoever name he may be called, you have before the Judge of our Court of Hustings of the City of Richmond, at the City Hall, in the said City, on the 27th day of October 1863, at 10 o'clock a. m. to do, submit to, and receive all and singular those things which shall then and there be considered of him in this behalf. And have then there this writ.
