Dec 5, 1943 Dear Papa an Hellen I receive your letter the other day and was very glad to hear from you I am glad that all is well, Hellen I am slipping around to write to you, Hellen send me that package I said I wanted for Christmas now dont wait until Xmas, for I would like to get it now, Papa I sure wish that I could be home for Christmas. Hellen if you can send me around ten dollars around Christmas for they short changed my pay and I wont get it until next month
