Fort Fisher NC Sun 19, 1943 Dear Papa and Hellen Just a few lines to let you hear from me I am getting along just fine and hope you'all the same, the reason I am writing so much I am not going to get the chance next week until Sat or Sun we are coming back to Fisher for just about 2 or 3 week I sure will be glad when we get ship out just so we dont go across I think we will go back to Davis. I sure hope so because I dont believe we will go across for a while yet, I think this war is getting bad I sure hope the young boys dont have to go across, Papa how is the work getting done at the mill is it still running regular.
