We do certify on honor that at the election held on the 22nd day of October 1867 in first district Amelia County State of Virginia Four (4) Qualified white electors voted For a Convention and Forty three (43) Qualified white electors voted Against a Convention and that one hundred & sixty four (164) Qualified Colored electors Voters For a Convention and 0 Qualified colored electors voted against a convention. Also that one (1) Qualified White Electors and Two (2) Qualified colored electors voted for Maj Sam R [Seay? Seny?] as a delegate to the convention and 0 Qualified White Electors and One Hundred & sixty two (162) Qualified Colored Electors voted for Richard A Anderson as a delegate to the convention and Forty three (43) Qualified White Electors and one (1) Qualified colored Electors voted for Dr C R Irving as a delegate to the convention. and For Convention [Blank] Delegates White one (1) and Against Convenetion [blank] Delegate white two (2)
