We do certify, on honor, that at the election held on the 22nd day of October 1867 in First District, Fluvanna County, Virginia twelve (12) qualified white electors voted 'For a Convention,' and one hundred & third-seven (137) qualified white electors voted 'Against a Convention'; and that one hundred & seventy five (175) qualified colored electors voted 'For a Convention,' and six (6) qualified colored electors voted 'Against a Convention.' Also that one hundred & fifty three (153) qualified white electors, and five (5) qualified colored electors voted for Abraham Shepherd Jr. as a delegate to the Convention, and no qualified white electors, and one hundred & seventy-six (176) qualified colored electors voted for James D Barrett as a delegate to the Convention Sam'l L Pettis } Registering Officer for First District J D Pendleton } Wm H Davis } John B Perkins } Assistants
