We do certify on honor, that at the election held on the 22nd day of October 1867, in the 1st District Rockbridge County Virginia Thirty one (31) qualified white voted "for a convention and Two Hundred and fourteen (214) qualified white electors voted Against a convention, and that Three Hundred (300) qualified colored electors voted "For a convention," and no qualified colored electors voted "Against a Convention." Also that Thirty two (32) for Baker & Twenty six (26) for Seig. qualified white electors and Three Hundred (300) qualified colored electors for Geo A Baker & J M Seig as delegates to the convention and Two hundred & ten (210) qualified white electors, and [blank] qualified colored electors voted for Wm McLaughlin & Two hundred & fifteen (215) for Jos Mayse as a delegate to the convention.
