Col. Robert Wallace Dr Sir I have taken the liberty of inclosing you Mr. Robert Kempers claim on the auditor for the amt. of his acct for keeping Fanny Smith &c. &c.., which there is great doubt whether it will pass. You will please procure it for Payment and if it will not pass, will you present a petition to the assembly and attend to it. You and Mr. Kelly are acquainted with all the circumstances and will know that Wm. Cadell is insolvent and not able to pay, and the Court were apprised of all the circumstances and Cavells insolvency. Mr. David Briggs advised this course to petition the assembly. I am yours &c. &c.
