May it please your Honors. By the House of Burgesses. In answer to your Honors. message on the 11th instant wherein you are pleas'd to say, you wait for an answer to a former message of yours relateing to the act for Ports & bulk tobacco. The House of Burgesses humbly take leave to acquaint your Honors that on the 7th instant, they tooke the said message under serious consideration and debate, and thereupon Resolved that they would adhere to their former votes relating to ports and bulke tobacco made this Assembly, from which they further inform your honors they cannot now recede.
