At the court of Oyer & Terminer held for the county of Matthews and the court house thereof on Saturday the 21st day of March 1829 for the trial of Henry, Adam and Meredith the property of John Armistead charged with felony. The said slaves having been condemned by the court to be hanged for the offence aforesaid. The court proceeded to value the said slaves & are of opinion that are worth three hundred seventy five dollars each, which is ordered the certified to the auditor of public accounts for payment
