Corporation of Fredericksburg To wit Presly Thornton this day personally appeared before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the corporation aforesaid and make oath in the form of law that the aforesaid within named John T Thornton in his presence subscribed and delivered the within named Philip Harrison the within and annexed order for the payment to him of the within mentioned sum of four hundred dollars and that the said John T Thornton desired him the afforsaid to attest the same as a witness thereto Given under my hand this 15th day of September 1829 W [?] Allen
