At a Court of Oyer and Terminer held for the City of Richmond the 20th of August 1829- John a slave the property of Thomas Wingfield was tried for Burglary and condemned to be hanged- And the Court valued the said slave at the sum of three hundred and seventy five dollars- Th: C. Howard, clk Executive Dep 24 Oct 1879 The above mentioned slave John, has been reprieved by the Executive for sale and transportation Wm. H. Richardson c.c.
