Northumberland County, Sept. 18th 1830. This is to authorise John Hull to draw the within named sum of four hundred dollars awarded to me as the value of negro man Griffen. Edward Conway.

The above named slave Griffin was reprieved by the Executive on the 21st August last for sale and transportation, and removed to the Penitentiary. J. W. Pleasants, A.C.C.
