At a Councill held at James Citty Janry 27th 1691

Prest. The Rt Honoble Fra: Nicholson Esqre their Mas [Majesties'] Lt Govr & Councill

The Broad Arrow being their Mas perticular marke, & this Board being informed that in two places in Charles Citty County severall things lye undr yt [that] marke & the same not made by ye Sherriff [Sheriff] of ye sd County nor his Officrs It is Ordered that ye Sherriffe of ye sd County forthwith seize & take into his Custody all and whatsoever Tobacco or other things he shall finde within the aforesaid County marked with the broad Arrow as aforesaid & the same safely secure for their Mas use untill further Ordr be taken therein makeing return of his proceedings to the Secrs office by the sixth day of the next Genll Court.
