At a Court of Oyer and Terminer held for Henry County the 9th day of July 1832 for The Court proceeded to value George a negro man slave the property of John Burgess this day condemned to be hanged for an attempt to commit a rape, when the said slave was appraised to three hundred and seventy dollars, which valuation is ordered to be certified to the Auditor of public accounts.
