This Indenture made the fourteenth day of February in the fourth year of the Reign of our most Gracious Sovereign Lord and Lady by the grace of God King William and Queen Mary by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland Defenders of the fayth &c Ano Dom. 1692/3 Between John Baxter of Charles Citty County of the one part and Henry Wyatt of New Kent County of the other part Witnesseth that I the sd John Baxter for a valluable consideracon of four thousand pounds of Tobacco and [Casqt.?] and a hog have given granted bargained and sold assign'd and sett over unto Henry Wyatt one parcell of land Conteining eight hundred acres more or les Scittuate lying and being in Westover parrish in Chals Citty County bounded as followeth: Being formerly part of a tract of land taken upp and Patent by Thomas Spencer Thomas Brooks and William Hickman the patent bearing date the 27 April 1664 bounded as foll. East uppon the line of Collo. Edward Hill which line begins uppon the main runn of Chichominy Swamp Soe runing throw an Island comonly Called the Long Island: Soe along the sd Hills line to a Corner black Oke which stands the other side of Possum Run: thence Nor West by West half West to a corner black oke near the head of the afforsd Run thence Nor-east by east half East six hundred sixty two poles to a Corner White Oke on the main Swamp and soe down the main runn as the Run turneth to Collo. Hills corner tree wher it begun. Now know all men whom this doth or may Concern That I the sd John Baxter for the Consideracon in hand payd and Secured have given granted bargain'd Sold enffeoffed and Confirmd and by thes pnts doe give grand bargain sell, alien enfeoff and confirm unto the sd Henry Wyatt his heyrs & Ass. for ever To have & to hold the sd heerby Sold and demised premisses and every part and parcell therof thereunto belonging to him the sd Henry Wyatt his heyrs & Ass. for ever together with all rights Profitts comodities & advantages wt. so=ever to the same in any wise belonging or apperteining. And the sayd John Baxter doth for himself his heyrs Execu[tp]rs. & Adm[inistrato]rs: and every of them heerby Covenant promise grant and agree to and wth. the sd Henry Wyatt his heyrs Exers. & admrs. that he the sd Henry Wyatt his heyrs or Ass. shall fro. time to time and att al times for ever heerafter have hold occupy possess and enjoy the sd heerby demised premises of eight hundred acres of land more or les and every part & parcell and member therof without the lawfull lett, Suit, trouble, molestacon impedimt. or denyall of him the sd John Baxter his heyrs Execrs. Admrs. or Ass. or any of them or any clayming by from or under him or them or any of them. And further I the Sayd John Baxter doe heerby oblige my self with Sarah my wife to acknowledg the Sd land in Charles Citty County Court when I am thereunto called.
