163 Know all men by thes pnts That I Jefry Gillam of Charles Citty Com. for the consideracon of two thousand pounds of Tobacco and Casq[ue] in hand payd by John Hunt of the County afforsd the receipt wherof I doe heerby acknowledge and from every part therof exonerate and discharge the sd John Hunt his heyrs Exrs: and Adms. give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto him the sd John Hunt his heyrs & Ass. one Tract or Devidend of Land Conteining by esteemacon fifty acres be the same more or Less lying scittuate and being on the North side of Wynoak parish in Charles Citty County being part of a parcell of land formerly bought of Mr Daniel Clarke of the abovsd County by my father William Gillam and Jefry Mumford joynt purchassers and by the sd Mumford Survivor of the sd Gillam made over att a Court held att Westover the 5° day of Aprill 1669 to me as one of the heyrs of my father William Gillam decd. the sd tract or parcell of Land conteining fifty acres be the same more or les lying & being between seller run and old man's Creek run being undivided from such another parcell purchased by the sd Hunt off my Brother Richard Gillam given to him the sd Ricd: Gillam by the afforsd Mumford at the Court afforsd. to have and to hold the sd tract of land with its appurtenances together with all rights privilledges liberties and imunitys usually enjoyed therwith as all Woods underwoods, houses, edifices, orchards, gardens, feedings Waters and Watercourses and all other its proper Intengences Comonly enjoyed therwith to him the sd John Hunt and to his heyrs & Ass forever free and clear and soe with a Generall Warranty to be kept mainteined and defended by the sd Jeffery Gillam and his heyrs Exrs admrs. free and cleer from all other and former guifts, grants, bargains sales, titles, dowers extents, Execucons leases, losses, detriments or other incombrances wtsoever In Wittnes wherof I have heerunto sett my hand and seal this 18° day of January 1692 Jefry [mark] Gillam [seal] seale.
