Virginia Wheras by a Certaine Letter of Attorney bearing date the [blank] day of [blank] of London hath constituted ordained and appoynted me Richard Tibbott of London Marinr to be his true lawfull and sufficient attorney for him the sd Thomas Crane and to his own proper use and behoofe to ask demande sue for recover and receive of the heires Executors or administrators of ffrancis Poythres late of Charles Citty County in Virginia deced the sum of Ten Pound sterling with Interest with power (inter alia) by the sd constituant to me given (if need bee) to substitute one or more attorny or attornyes under me to act doe and performe whatsoever ma be requisite and effectuall in the premisses; Know yee therefore that I sd Richard Tibbotts by virtue of ye power aforesaide doe hereby substitute, depute and appoynt and in my room and stead impower Capt: Petter Perry of the sd County to act execute and performe, all ^ and whatsoever may be requisite, in, and about the recovering the sd sum of mony from the heirs Executors or administrators of the sd ffra: Poythres and whattsoever my sd substitute shall lawfully doe in the Premisses I doe hereby ratifye allow and conforme as if I my self were actually concerned theirin Wittness my hand and seal this 30th day of October Anno 1693

In the Name of God Amen. I John Stith senr. of the parish of Westover in Charles Citty County in Virga Gent. being well in body and of sound and perfect mind & memory doe make this my last will and Testamt hereby utterly revokeing and making voyd all former Wills by me made whither written or verball. Impr. first and principly I recomend my soule into the hands of my blessed Saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ hopeing and assuredly beleiving thro' his merritts death and passion to obtain pardon and remission of my sinns & to inherit life everlasting. And for that Worldly estate it hath pleased Allmighty God to bles me wth I give as followeth. I give and bequeath to my eldest son John Stith and to his heyres forever all the land houseing and apurtenances therunto belonging wheron I now live as alsoe my hors mill by me lately built on ye sd land togeather with all runing geare tooles, utensills, implements and apurtenances thereto belonging.
