208 to a markt Hicory. then East by North one hundred pole to a markt white Oke. then North West two hundred pole to two mark't okes. then south west by West two hundred pole to a markt pine Then east by south twenty pole to a markt oke being a corner tree of William Heaths Land goe along his line the same cours two hundred pole to a markt Ash in the afforsd branch. Then East by North notherly sixty two pole to the first station. The sd Land being formerly granted unto John Warpoole by Patent dated the twentyeth day of Aprill 1682 and by him Deserted and is since granted to the sd William Knott by order of the Genll Court dated at James Citty the 15 day of Aprill 1691 and is due by and for the importacon of five persons into this Colony whose nams are in the Reords mentioned under this Patent. To have and to hold the sd Land &c. ut in aliis to to him the sd William Knott his heyres and Ass. for ever &c. ut in aliis To be held of our Sovern: Lord & Lady ye King and Queen &c ut in alliis in free and comon soccage [socage] &c. Yeilding & paying &c ut in aliis. Provided &c. Given under my hand and the seale of the Colony the twentyeth day of October. Anno Doni 1691 ffr Nicholson. Record William Cole Secr. Uppon the back of the before recited Patent it is thus endorsed. viz. KNOW. all men by thes pnts that I William Knott of the prish of Southwark in the County of Surry for a valluable consideracon to me in hand pd. before the sealing and delivirering of these pnts by John Wapoole of the same parish and County with which I acknowledg my self to be fully sattisfyed have bargained and sold and I doe by thes pnts for my self my heyrs Execrs Admrs: for ever bargain sell assigne and sett over unto the sd John Wapoole his heyrs and Ass. for ever. all the right title and interest that I have to ye within menconed patent for two hundred and sixteen acres of Land lying in Charles Citty County bounded as by Patent to have and to hold the sd Two hundred and sixteen acres of Land with all the Royalties proffitts and Comodities to the sd Land belonging or in any wise apperteining to him ye sd John Wapoole his heyrs and Ass for ever. In Wittnes wherof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale this 21th day of May 1694 William W Knott [seal] seal. [his] marke.

The afforsd William Knott in open Court did acknowledg this Deed to John Wapoole the fourth day of June 1694. Test. James Minge Cl Cur. And Ordered then by the Justices that this Deed be Recorded And it is Recorded here accordingly Test. James Minge Cl Cur.
