We do certify on honor that at the election held on the 22nd day of October 1867 in the 6th District Southampton County Virginia, [Blank] qualified white electors voted "For a Convention" and 155 qualified white electors voted "Against a Convention"; and that 79 qualified colored electors voted "For a Convention"; and no qualified colored electors voted "Against a Convention". Also that 70 qualified white electors and no qualified colored electors voted for John Pretlow as a delegate to the Convention, and 78 qualified white electors and no qualified colored electors voted for Luther R Edwards as a delegate to the Convention, and no qualified white electors and 79 qualified colored electors voted for John Brown (colored) as a delegate to the Convention.
