227 This Indenture made the first day of March one thousand six hundred ninty four 1694/5 between Sarah Crabb Widow the relict of James Crabb of ye parish of Wynoke [illegible] Charles Citty lately decd of the one partie and Benjamin Evans of the same parish and county of the other partie Wittnesseth. That the sd Sarah Crabb for and in consideracon of the sum of twelve thousand pounds of good sound legall and merchantable tobacco to her in hand paid or secured to be pd by the sd Benjamin Evans have given granted bargained and sold assigned and made over and by thes pnts doe give grant bargain sell assigne and sett over unto the sd Benjamin Evans his heires and assignes one plantation or tract of Land conteining one hundred acres bee it more or less bounding Eastward on Matchcotes runn and Thomas Jacksons land northward on Abraham Hamlins and Westard on Samll: Harwoods togeather with all the houses tobaccogrouds Corngroungs pasturegrounds gardens orchards woods underwoods trees and all the apertenances therunto belonging or aperteining; situate lying and being in ye parish and County aforesaide To have and hold the sd land and all therto belonging to him ye sd Benjamin Evans his heirs and asines for ever And ye sd Sarah Crabb doth for her self her heires executors and administrators Covenant promise Conclude and agree to and with ye sd Benjamin Evans his heires and asignes that shee have at ye time of ye Ensealing and delivery hereof a good absolute pure and indefeazable Estate of Inheritance of in and unto ye before granted and barganed premices freed and cleered and freely and clearely exhonerated acquitted and discharged of and from all former other guifts grants bargans sales intayles settlements joyntures dowers Judgments statutes and recognances and from all lude all maner of others or former incombrances whatsoever and that ye sd Benjamin Evans his heires and asigns shall and may from time to time and all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupie posses and injoy ye sd premices and every part therof without any lett disturance or molestation of ye sd Sarah Crabb or any other person or persons whatsoever and that shee ye sd Sarah Crabb her heires Exectrs or Admrs shall and will from time to time and all times hereafter Warrant and defend ye sd Benjamin his heires and asignes against ye sd Sarah Crabb her heirs or asignes and against all other person or persons Whatsoever And ye sd Sarah Crabb for her self her heirs Executs and Adm: doth further covenant to and with ye sd Benjamin Evans his heirs and asignes [illegible] or their resonable requst and cost and charges in ye Law to doe act to make and execute such further and other assureance or asureances Convaance or convaances acte or thing Deed or Deeds in ye Law
