The Needlework Guild of America Minute Sheet Portsmouth, Va. March 13, 1917 The regular annual meeting of the Portsmouth branch of the Needlework Guild of America was held on the above date. Those present were: Mrs. S. T. Hanger, Mrs. Kenneth McAlpine, Mrs. J. H. Fleming, Mrs. J. W. Borum, and Miss Pauline Williams. The election of officers for the ensuing two years resulted as follows: Mrs. Kenneth McAlpine, Pres., Mrs. J. W. Borum, Secy; Miss Pauline Williams, Treas. A vote of thanks was tendered the retiring president, Mrs. S. T. Hanger, for her great interest and untiring zeal which has helped so much the success of the Guild, and she was unanimously elected Honorary President (the Secretary reported the collection and distribution of 1007 articles.) There being no further business the meeting adjourned. Copied by Mrs. N. E. Adamson, Sec. 1919. (For the year ending Dec. 31, 1917 a total of 1270 garments was collected and distributed.)
