The Needlework Guild of America Minute Sheet Annual Meeting 1966

The Annual Meeting of the Portsmouth Branch of the Needlework Guild was held in the Ladies Lounge of St. John's Episcopal Parish House on March 30, 1966. Mrs. C. O. Barclay Jr. called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. there were 11 members present. Mrs. Barclay opened the meeting with the reading of the Episcopal Church women's Prayer. The minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer's report showed a balance of $36.10 as of March 30, 1966. It was voted that the Annual Ingathering for 1966 be held on Monday, May 23rd at St. John's Parish House at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. J. E. Adams suggested that some publicity before the Ingathering might be helpful. The Secretary was instructed to invite representatives to bring a sandwich and have tea with us at lunchtime. It was voted to mail letters to various local clubs inviting them to form a section. The letter to include a full explanation of the purpose of the Needlework Guild. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
