We do certify on honor that at the Election held on the 22nd day of October 1867 in East Ward City of Petersburg Virginia Eleven (11) qualified White Electors voted for a Convention and one hundred and seventy four (174) qualified White Electors voted against a Convention and that Six hundred and Seventy nine (679) qualified Colored electors voted for a Convention and two (2) qualified Colored electors voted against a Convention. Also that one hundred and Seventy four (174) qualified White electors and two (2) qualified Colored electors voted for David May as a delegate to the Convention and that one hundred and seventy four (174) qualified white electors and two (2) qualified Colored electors voted for J P Williamson as a delegate to the Convention, and that Eight (8) qualified white electors and Six hundred and seventy nine (679) qualified colored electors voted for J H Platte Jr as a delegate to the convention and that Eight (8) qualified white electors & Six hundred and seventy eight (678) qualified Colored electors voted for Peter G Morgan as a delegate to the Convention.
