June 1st 1956 Regular semi monthly meeting of Austin R. Davis Camp #4 Dpt of Va was held on the above date Commander Wilson presiding Meeting was opened in regular form Roll Call of officers minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved Mr W B Shofer was with us for the purpose of delivering a message of thanks to the Camp from the Washington representative at the booster meeting recently held in Norfolk For the excellent support given by the US. W,V. Hotel rates at Saratoga Springs NY during National Convention was read to the Camp The sick committe made the following report Com. Jones improving Com. Mulery not so well Com. Barnes about same not much improved Com. Barclay better at present - but still very sick The Commander declared the 6 delegates nominated at our last meeting elected Motion made by Com. Rawley carried that the delegates appoint his own alternate. if he can not be present at the Dpt Convention The Commander was nominated and [word erased] to represent the Camp at National Convention The Commander requested the trustees quarter-master and adjt to meet in the hall Monday June 6th 8 pm for auditing the books and and checking the roll in preparation for paying Per Capita Tax Com Lader made a motion carried that the Camp send a letter of thanks to the boy Scouts drum and bugal corps of Elizabeth City NC for there presence and service in the Memorial day parade no further business Camp adjourned W H Tinkers Camp adjt
