June 15/36 Regular semi monthly meeting of Austin R. Davis Comp #4 Dpt of Va was held on the above date. Commander Wilson presiding. Meeting was opened in regular form Roll call of officers. Minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved Regular order of business suspended to obligate Com W. J. Murry, for reinstatement, to the the Camp. The application of Charles W. Snyder was approved by ballot and elected in the Camp The sick committe made there report about the same as last meeting. The nomination on G W Wilson as delegate duly elected with the previlege of appointing an alternate. The chairman of the Monument Committee reported that on recommendations of the City Attorney the Council did not grant our request for a section in olive branch cemetery but instead offered us permission to erect a monument in the City Park after several propositions by the Committe chairman. Motion was made and carried to request the Comrads to contribute $12.00 in installments or not less than one dollar per month for 12 months. And that in July 1937 the Camp would chance off by raffle $50.00 each Comrade that had paid $12.00 should have one chance on the $50.00. The Camp agreed that the Trustees would handle proposition by appointing the officers agreed upon by the trustees. The Comd called a meeting for June 29th at the regular hour as our regular meeting would be during the Dpt. Convention period Motion was made and carried to cut-off the gas during the summer months.
