Regular semi monthly meeting of Austin R Davis Camp # 4 Dpt of Va was held on the above date. Commander Wilson presiding. Meeting was opened in regular form. Roll Call of officers and absentees noted Minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved. Dpt general order #1 was read and filed. The chairman sick committee made the following report Com. Bond no better. Com. Barclay apparently failing fast. Com. Mulery also in bad shape. Com. Jones who has been on the sick list for some time was with us The Comd also reported Com. Hudgin sick. Com. George read a letter composed and written by Com. Banister Chairman of the Monument Committee Motion was made and carried to mail each Comrade in good standing a copy of this letter. The Commander stated he had signed a bond. Bonding Comrade Banister and Com. Brown to handle the funds for the Monument. The Comd made his report of the council meeting held in Petersburg Aug 2nd Motion was made by Com. Lader which was carried that the camp serve refreshments after our next regular meeting Aug 17th The cost not to exceed $15.00 Comrade Banister made a good talk for the good of the order. No further business. the Camp adjourned to meet again Aug. 17.
