Oct 5th 1936 Regular semi monthly meeting of Austin R. Davis Camp #4 Dpt of Va in SWV was held on the above date. Meeting was opened in regular form. Roll call of officers and absentees noted. Minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved. Sr. Vice commander in the chair. General orders #2 series 1936 and 1937 of the Dpt of Va was read. Also general orders #7 series 1935 and 1936 from national head quarters. A copy of the above orders was filed. Comrade Banister reported again that the funds for the monument was coming in slow. The adjt reported that he had completed mailing the letters to the comrads subject requesting contribution for the monument For the good of the order Com. Farris gave the camp some interesting facts on the pension laws. Motions made and passed that the quartermaster pay for the floral designs contributed to the funeral of our deceased Dpt. Commander B. E. Brown of Petersburg W. H. Tonkins adjt
