June 7th

Regular semi monthly meeting of Austin R Davis Camp #4 Dpt of Va was held on the above date Meeting was opened in regular form by the Commander P. J. Wilson Roll Call of officers and minutes of the last regular meeting was read and approved. Litter was read from Mr. Markham acting Post Master replying to our letter requesting the delivery of pention checks when the first of the month falls on Saturday. Mr. Markham agrees to comply with our wishes. Dpt. General order #4 of 1936 and 37 was read and filed. Com. R. Q. Willis was unanimously elected and mustered into the Camp. Com. Banister Chairman of the Monument Committee stated that Committee suggested to the Camp that they discontinue to solicit funds from the public only until the first meeting in Oct 1937. The Camp excepted the suggestion and a Motion was made and carried to that effect. The following Comrads was elected as delegates to the Dpt. Convention in Charlottsville July 4th to 6th W. A. Martindale A. H. Brown R. O. Moore E. A. Bonn W. R. Snyder J. W. Yeager alternates. R. Q. Willis and Lindsey Teafe. The Commander ordered the trustees to audit the books.

Com. Banister presented a resolution requesting that a suitable resolution drawn up requesting that the title Service Officer be suggested to the Dpt Commander to follow this title Sergt. Major. Motion made and carried for this adjt to write the Dpt. Comd. and call his attention to the refund of $20.00 to this Camp as part-payment of expenses for entertaining the National Comd. March 13th 1937 Com. Banister was nominated a delegate to represent this camp at National encampment in Columbus Ohio
