At a Court held for Stafford County the 11th Octr. 1750.

Present } Philip Alexander. Mott Doniphan John Peyton, & Gerrard Fowke { Gent. Justices

Ordered that Notice be given that that [sic] the County Levy is to be laid next Court

James McEntosh is appointed Overseer of the Road, from the cross Roads to Hooe's Ferry in the Room of Benoni Stratton. ~

Ordered that John Green be summoned to answer the Petition of Haywood Todd.

On Motion of Burdit Clifton his Licence for keeping Ordinary is renewed

Lucy a negro Girl belonging to Henry Smith adjudged to be nine years old

Sarah a negro Girl belonging to William Wright adjudged to be eight years old

Moll a negro Girl belonging to Thomas Norman adjudged to be seven years old

John Stuart being bound over to the Court by Recognizance appeared & no Person appearing against him he is discharged.

Baily Washington is appointed Overseer of the Road from Aquia Warehouse to Mr. Rall's Post below Aquia Run, & is ordered to clear & keep the sd. Road in repair, & that his Tithables, John Stacy, Simon Stacy, John Stacy junr. Moses Lunsford, John Green, William Patten, Mason Combs, & Thomas Hursts clear the same, & be exempt from other Roads.

The Inspectors at Aquia made Oath, that they had in their Hands 3060 lb crop Tobacco which is ordered to be sold according to Law. . . . . .. . . 13/6

Tabitha Hooe's agst. the Estate of Rice Hooe's Estate being proved is admitted to Record, & the Tobacco is valued to 13/ P.Cent, & Corn at 7/. P.Barrel.

Jack a Negro Boy belonging to William George adjudged to be twelve years old.

Ordered that the King's Attorney prosecute Thomas Batham, Overseer for Susanna Brent, Robert Carter, William Jackson, James McEntosh, & Duncomb sympson for tending seconds

The Attachment against Peter Hedgman is continued.

In the Action of trespass between Richd. Barnard Gent. Pltf. & Jesse Moss Deft. the Deft. not appearing Judgment is granted the Pltf. against him, & William Moss his Security for what of the Sum sued for in the Declaration shall appear to be justly due, unless the Deft. appear at the next Court & answer the Pltf's. Action

In the Action of Trespass between Francis Dade Pltf. & Thomas Massey Deft. for one hundred pounds Sterling damage by means of the Defts. breaking & entering the Close
