The Attachment obtained by John Nelson against Daniel Matheny is dismist & the sd. Daniel is ordered to pay Costs. Present Thomas Fitzhugh, Gentleman
In the Action of Trespass upon the Case between Abraham Bredwell Plt. & Robert Ashby Junr. deft. the Errors filed in this Cause to arrest the Judgment given therein being argued are adjudged good. It's thereupon considered by the Court that the Plt. take nothing by his Bill & the Deft. go hence without day, & that he recover of the sd. Plt. his Costs by him about his defence in this behalf expended. ~
In the Action of Trespass between Thomas Hornbuckle Plt. & Samuel Grigsby deft. the deft. having pleaded not guilty the Plt joined the Issue & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.
In the Action of Trespass Assault & Battery between Gerard Banks Plt. & Samuel Grigsby deft. the Plt. joined the Demurrer in this Cause & is to be argued the next Court.
In the Action of Trespass upon the Case between Charles Harding Plt. & Saml. Earl Gentl. deft. the Matters of Law arising from the special Verdict in this Cause being argued the Court are of Opinion that the Law is for the Deft. it's thereupon further considered by the Court that the Plt. take nothing by his Bill & the deft. go hence without day & that he recover of the sd. Plt. his Costs by him about his defence in this behalf expended.
In the Action of debt brought by Mosley Battaley Gent. on behalf of our Lord the King against Isaac Knight a Jury to wit William Fitzhugh Gowry Waugh Merrimond Tiller, Henry Wiggington, William Kendall Thomas Johnson Darby OCain, Peter Murphy, John Kirk, John Thomas, Seth Botts, & John Fitzhugh were sworn to try the Issue joined who brought in their Verdict in these Words "We of the Jury find for our Sovereign Lord the King fifty pounds current Money, John Fitzhugh foreman" which Verdict on Motion of the sd. Mosely is admitted to Record & It's considered by the Court that the said Isaac pay to our said Lord the King the sd. fifty pounds by the Jurors aforsd. in their Verdict afforsd assessed, &
