{At a Court held for Stafford County for proof public Claims Propositions, & Grievances, October 8th day 1754.}

Present { Mott Doniphan, John Peyton, Peter Daniel Thomas Fitzhugh, and John Washington } Gentlemen

Robert Yates produced a Certificate under the hand of Henry Fitzhugh Esqr. for taking up a runaway Servant Man named Joseph Jefferson belonging to James Seburn of Augusta County & made Oath that the sd. service was real & bona fide made done & performed & that he had not received any satisfaction for the same which is ordered to be certified to the next General Assembly for Allowance.

Edward Bethell produced a Certificate the hand of John Peyton Gent. for taking up a runaway servant Boy named John Williams belonging to Thomas Hampton of Fairfax County & made Oath that the sd. Service was real & bona fide made done & performed, & that he had not received any satisfaction for the same which is ordered to be certified to the next General Assembly for allowance.

Thomas Johnson produced a Certificate under the hand of Mott Doniphan Gent for taking up a runaway servant boy named Joseph Basset, belonging to Henry Ashton of Westmoreland County & made Oath that the sd. service was real, & bona fide made done & performed & that he had not rec'd. any satisfaction for the same which is ordered to be certified to the next General Assembly for allowance ~

William Die produced a Certificate from under the Hand of Francis Thornton Gentleman for taking up two runaway negro Men, named Jacob, & Dick belonging to William Robinson of King & Queen County, & made Oath that the sd. Service was real, & bona fide, made done & performed, & that he had not receiv'd any satisfaction for the same, which is ordered to be certified to the next General Assembly for allowance.

George White produced a Certificate under the hand of Thomas Fitzhugh Gent. for taking up a runaway Negro Woman named Flora belonging to John Skinker of King George Count & made Oath that the sd. Service was real, & bona fide made done, & performed, & that he had not received any Satisfaction for the same which is ordered to be certified to the General Assembly for Allowance
