297l June Court, 1754.

John Gravat John Angell, William Picket, John Payton, Humphry Pope, Saml. Earle William Porter, Francis Broox Thomas Norman, John Honey, Franklyn Latham & John Harding were sworn to try the Issue joined who brought in their Verdict in these Words "We of the Jury find for the Plt. five Pounds sterling damage Samuel Earle foreman" which Verdict at the Plt's Motion is admitted to record. And it's considered by the Court that the Plt. recover of the sd. deft. the sd. five pounds sterling damage by the Jurors aforsd. in their Verdict aforesd. assessed, & by her Costs by her in this behalf expended. And the deft. by his Attorney moved for a new Trial which is granted him.

In the Suit on Information brought by Mosley Battaley Gent. on behalf of our Lord the King against William Jones, the sd. Jones having pleaded not guilty & the sd. Mosley joined the Issue & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.

In the Suit on Information brought by Mosley Battaley Gent. on behalf of our Lord the King against William Howard, the sd. Howard having pleaded not guilty, the sd. Mosley joined the Issue & the Trial is referred till the next Court.

[side notation at left] N.B. This should have followed the next) In the Action of Trespass Assault & Battery between Robert Wickliff Plt. & Andrew Kenny deft. the deft. having pleaded not guilty the Plt. joined the Issue & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.

In the Suit on Information brought by Mosley Battaley Gent. on behalf of our Lord the King against William Scaplin, the sd. Scaplin having pleaded not guilty the sd. Mosely joined the Issue, & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.

In the Action of debt between Andrew Cockrane & Co. plts. & Adam Stephen deft. the deft. not appearing upon an Attachment ordered in this suit its thereupon considered by the Court that the Plts. recover of the said deft. the sum of twenty two pounds seventeen Shillings & five pence, & their Costs by them in this behalf expended ~ But this Judgment is to be discharged (the Costs excepted) on payment of eleven pounds eight Shillings & eight pence with Interest thereon from the first day of March one thousand seven hundred & fifty till the same is paid. And the Sheriff having returned the attachment executed on a washing Tub, & Cow, or Steer, it's ordered that he sell the same according to Law & satisfy the above Judgment therewith, if there be money enough arising by such sale to do the same & report to the next Court.

In the Action of debt between James Wiggington who as well &c. Plt. & John Stewardon deft. the def. having pleaded that he owes nothing, the Plt. joined the Issue, & Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.

In the Action of debt between Gowry Waugh Plt. & Rawleigh Chinn Junr. deft. the defendant having pleaded that he owes nothing. the Plt. joined the Issue & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court.
