Room of the sd. [blank space] Pleaded not guilty confessed Lease Entry & Ouster & agreed to insist only on the Title at Trial the Plt. joined the Issue & the Trial thereof is referred till the next Court
In the Action of Trespass upon the Case between James Yelton Plt. & Thomas Spalding deft. a Jury to wit, Andrew Edwards, William Wren, John Whiting James Watson, Colclough Stribling, Humphry Pope, William Mills, Wharton Holliday, William Russell, William Allen, John Armstrong & John Cannon were sworn to try the Issue joined, who brought in their Verdict in these words "We of the Jury find for the Plt. five pounds sterling damage Wiliam Allen foreman" & the deft. moved for a new Trial which is granted him ~
Ordered that James Yelton pay John Payton four hundred & twenty five pounds of Tobacco, for seventeen days attendance as an Evidence for him against Spalding
Ordered that Thomas Spalding pay Patience Mills one hundred & fifty pounds of Tobacco for six days attendance as an Evidence for him at Suit of Yelton
In the Action of debt between William Black Pltf. & Samuel Whitson & Joseph Carter defts. By consent of the Parties the Issue in this Case to be tried by a Jury is waved, & the Matter submitted to the Court whereupon it's considered by the Court that the Plt recover of the sd. deft. the Sum of thirteen pounds six Shillings, with Interest thereon from the twenty sixth day of April, one thousand seven hundred, & fifty two till the same is paid ~ & his Costs by him in this behalf expended, & the Plt. agrees to stay Execution two Months.
In the Action of Trespass upon the Case between Robert & Edward Maxwells Plts. & Thomas Heath deft. a Jury to wit Andrew Edwards, William Wrenn John Whiting James Watson, Coclough Stribling, Humphry Pope, William Mills Wharton Holiday William Bussell, William Allen, John Armstrong, & John Conner were sworn well & truly to enquire of damages, who brought in their Verdict in these Words, "We of the Jury find for the Plt. one thousand four hundred, & ten pounds of crop Tobacco, William Allen foreman" Which Verdict at the Plt's Motion is admitted to record, & it's considered by the Court that the Plt. recover of the sd. deft. & Richard Hewett, his Security the sd. one thousand four hundred & ten pounds of crop Tobacco by the Jurors aforesd. in their Verdict aforsd. assessed, & their Costs by them in this behalf expended ~
