This Indenture made this 29 day of December 1832 between Richard Booker and Alfred O. Eggleston Overseers of the poor of district No. 3 in the County of Amelia of the one part and Thomas G. Worthing of the said county of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Richard Booker and Alfred O. Eggleston, overseers of the poor as aforesaid by virtue of an order of the said Court of the County aforesaid, bearing date 27 day of December 1832, have put, placed & bound, and by these presents do put, place & bind Henry, a free boy of color, of the age of 13 years to be an apprentice with him the said Thos. G. Worthing, and as an apprentice with him, the said Thos. G. Worthing to dwell from the date of these presents, untill the said Henry shall come to the age of twenty one according to the Act of the General Assembly in that case made & provided. By and during all which time, the said Henry shall the said Thos. G. Worthing, his said master, well and faithfully serve in all such lawful business as the said Henry shall be put unto by his said master, according to the power wit and ability of him the said Henry, and honestly and obediently in all things shall behave himself towards his said master, and honestly and orderly towards the rest of the family of the said Thos. G. Worthing. And the said Thos. G.
