No. 69 Augusta County Court Clerk's office, to wit: William Cox (son of John Cox) now Eighteen years of age, five feet five inches high, fair complexion, with red hair, no scars or marks, and was born free. Given under my hand with the seal of the Court this 28th day of October 1823. Vincent Tapp DCAC

No. 70 Augusta County Court Clerk's office, to wit: Rose, a mulatto woman, about thirty six years of age, about five feet five inches high, bushy hair, and very black eyes, was emancipated by John Poindexter of Louisa County as appears by the certificate of the clerk of Louisa County Court, bearing date the 12th day of November 1811, and now registered in their office. Given under my hand with the seal of the Court affixed, this 15th day of November 1823. Vincent Tapp DCAC
