I am glad to say that Harpers' Weekly has agreed to send their best woman to Virginia to write up this matter of coordinate college at the University with an illustrated article dwelling upon it as an extension of the democratic idea at an old traditional station institution. The article will be published at such time in the campaign for the establishment of the college as will best assist us here.
I feel in good shape for the fight, and I believe we have a reasonable hope of succcess, provided, of course, those who believe in the college at the University will take some positive action and stand with us, as you did so nobly two years ago.
Hoping you continue to improve in health, and that you and Mrs. Alderman are well and happy, I am, with sincere regards,
Yours very sincerely, "[blank]"
