Alexandria, Va March 23, 1917 My dear Miss McKenney: I received your letter just as I was starting to make a tour of the southwestern portion of the State. My first stop being Lynchburg to discuss the plane for the program of our annual meeting. The program, as you know, is not decided upon by either the Local Committee or the State President, but is endorsed by a Special Committee for that purpose. In consulting with them I found that in as much as at two previous annual conventions the subject of the Co-Ordinate College was given full time for presentation, it would not be possible to have it again on this occasion. As it was decided that in view of the War crisis that that would be emphasized, as the Genefal [General] Federation is planning to assist the Government. Very sincerely Helen [N.?] Cummings President [S?]
