R. T. Irvine, Attorney at Law, Big Stone Gap, Va. December 22nd, 1913. Dr. Peyton Green, Wytheville, Va.

Dear Doctor Green: - Your letter of the 10th reached me at the University, and I was glad to get it. We had a very interesting meeting on the 11th, but the Board did not vote on the subject. It is expected that final action will be taken by us on January 5th. I will be glad to bear in mind your own views and that of the other Alumni referred to in the letter. All of us favor an advanced State College for Women, but some of us doubt the advisability or economy of attempting to place it at the University. With best wishes, Yours very truly, R. T.
