My dear Mrs. Munford: A bad case of the grippe must be my excuse for not writing sooner, tho added to this is the disappointment I have experienced in my work in the counties. I have sent out fifty letters asking people to be Chairmen for their county - just two have answered the others including Miss Yowell have kept silent, have not even answered my letters. the three felt obliged to decline. I am sorry that my finances will not permit a trip thro' my territory so that I might find those who would act, but - that is impossible.
