As for the Christiansburg man, I don't have any way of reaching him for to my amazement I see the president of our two clubs there, endorsing Mrs. Montague's proposition - Both of these Clubs are new in the Federation and evidently did not know, or understand that the Federation was pledged to support the college. I wrote and sent literature to all the club presidents about two weeks ago. The Bedford Club has been working on Mr. Lowry. but they say he is "dead against it." I went to the P. O. today to see the Republican Postmaster and the other prominent republican politicians in there, but found the office closed for holiday so will have to go again tomorrow. I have been at work there on Mr. McCall sometime ago, I hoped I can get him to write Flannagan of Montgomery.
I wish you could get P. P. Claxton to make an address there in the higher education of women and the need of this college in the south
