Dear Edith -
We are charmed with the card from you and Elizabeth. I trust Dr. Moon May escape the threatened punishment. Please write cousin Lizzie in reply to her letter - tell her of my illness. Out here what has been done up to date about citizenship schools, and of requests that have come in - that I have asked Mrs Shuler to allow Miss [Mary Elizabeth] Pidgeon to remain here until May 1st at least to help organize schools. That I count on her also to organize not only in Lynchburg but in other counties. that it is absolutely essential to raise money for the support of the work, which will have to be done intensively in May June and July, if women are to vote in the August primaries - and will require therefore time of several paid workers - Tell her (over)
