hours in the aggregate in any one calendar week; and, provided, further, that this provision shall not apply to females employed in leaf tobacco prizeries, stemmeries and other like places for rehandling loose leaf tobacco during the months of October, November, December, January and February; but, provided, that in no case shall such employment or work exceed seventy-two hours in the aggregate in any one calendar week. All contracts contrary to the provisions of this act shall be void. Sec. 2. Any owner, superintendent, foreman, overseer or manager who shall knowingly employ or permit any female or child to be employed contrary to the provisions of this act, and any parent or guardian who allows such employment of his child or ward, shall be fined not less than five nor more than twenty dollars. All acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith are to that extent hereby repealed.
