Dear Robert,

May be you are famous for making mistakes but you certainly can write an interesting letter which is a lot more than I can do. I'd just as soon take a beating as to start writing a letter. I'm sorry you don't like the Army but I think you'll like it better after your basic training is over. Nearly all the boys hate the first two months. They seem to like it better later. Speaking of the weather, we are really having some lovely weather here. We have about six inches of snow. I got my feet soaked coming from work today.
