This Indenture made this tenth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and nine, Between William Groverman of the Town of Alexandria and District of Columbia of the first part, George Youngs of the same place of the second part, and Robert Young and William J Hall also of the same place of the third part. Whereas the goods and chattles of the said William Groverman has been distrained for rent, and are now in the custody of the Marshall, and wishing to preserve them from sale and sacrafise, he the said William Groverman, has applied to the said Robert Young & William J Hall to become his securities in a three month replevin Bond, but before and at the time of doing so he the said William wishes to indemnify and secure them against any possible injury which might be sustained by them, by reason of their securityship aforesaid. Now this Indenture witnesseth, that the said William Groverman for and in consideration of the premises, and the further sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said George Youngs at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is acknowledged.
