Slaves and eh future increase of the females, to wit, Andrew Ford, Nelson, Hannibal, Arthur, Abram, Mary & her three children Louisa, Charlotte, & Bob, Raney & her child Stephen, Betsy Queen & her four children Billy Emeline Ben & Jinney, Jinney and her child Dick, Ann, Peggy and her two children Fanny, Anderson, Belinda and her three children, Ten head of Horses and the increase of the females. All the Stock of Cattle, Hogs and Sheep and the future increase of the females also all the said Nathaniel W Paynes Household and Kitchen furniture and Plantation utensils one Rideing Carriage and Harness unto the said John Alexander and Anselm S Haden their heirs executors and administrators and the said Nath'l W Payne for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby agree to warrant and forever defend a good and lawfull Right and title to the aforesaid Real and Personal estate unto the said John Alexander and Anselm S. Haden their heirs or assigns free from the claim of himself, heirs &c also free from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever Upon Trust and in Special Confidence Nevertheless, That if it shall so happen that the said Nathaniel W. Payne shall fail to pay to the said Richard G Haden his heirs or assigns the said sum of Seven thousand five hundred & twenty Dollars and Seventy one Cents with the legal interest thereon from this date at the End of five years from this time or any part of said Principal or Interest then and in that case it shall and will be lawfull for the said John Alexander and Anselm S Haden or either of them after having advertised the time & place of Sale of said property for two weeks in some News Paper then printed in Lynchburg, to Proceed to Sell so soon as they or either of them shall be requested by the said Richard G. Haden his heirs or assigns or the said Nath'l W Payne after the lapse of time. The said Lands & Slaves, and other personal property including the Increase as will be sufficient to pay and satisfy the said Richard G Haden the said sum of Seven thousand, five hundred & twenty dollars and Seventy one Cents with the legal interest thereon from this date till said time of sale, or so much thereof as shall be then due and unpaid
